BIRMINGHAM co-promoter Mick Bratley is urging supporters to arrive early at the Perry Barr Stadium on Wednesday night as the Brummies chase their first major team silverware in 35 years.
The BRC Roofing Brummies take on in-form Newcastle Diamonds in the Premier Trophy Final second leg (7.30pm start), in the biggest Speedway match in the City since the sport made a triumphant return in 2007. The meeting is being sponsored by Johnsons Volkswagen.
Bratley said: "We will be opening the turnstiles at 6.00pm and there will be some pre-match entertainment for supporters, plus as reported elsewhere, there will be the announcement of a new asset signing for the club. I am hoping Perry Barr will be turned into a sea of yellow and red by our fans, as they become our eighth man and help us to what we hope will be a memorable victory.”
"This is a great opportunity for our regular supporters to commit to encouraging new or lapsed supporters from years ago to come to Perry Barr and cheer the Brummies to cup final glory. It will be the biggest night for the club since it was reborn four years ago. If every regular supporter bought just two new fans along, the place will be rocking and I'm sure it will be an evening nobody is going to forget in a hurry!"
The final will come complete with pre-meeting entertainment, BRMB promotional crew and enhanced promotional touches are being added to create a tremendous Cup Final atmosphere.
