MERCOM BACKS BRUMMIES FOR FOURTH YEAR
Gloucestershire based Mercom Water Products have pledged support to the Birmingham Brummies Speedway team for the fourth successive season.
It means the water industry specialists, headed by Richard Meredith, will have provided generous backing for the Perry Barr outfit every season since the rebirth of the famous Brummies in 2007.
The company will forever have a place in history as the first ever modern day team title sponsors of the club in the comeback year of 2007. They then supported the Academy Birmingham Bulls side in 2008 and 2009, before becoming a `Team Partner` sponsor in 2010.
In all, Mercom`s fantastic commercial support to the club since its inception runs into many tens of thousands of pounds.
For Mercom boss Richard, Speedway is a family affair. Co Mercom directer and wife Paula, together with dad Barry, all follow the Brummies fortunes home and away as and when business commitments allow.
Richard Meredith commented "We are committed sponsors of the Brummies. Its great to be involved on the inside of the club. We look forward to permanent planning permission being granted later in the year and being involved for a fifth successive year".
